here are some outtakes from one of my journals (it's the 'somewhere near home' journal because it's my favourite one from this year)

a photography degree involves lots and lots of these, and luckily, they are something i really enjoy doing. the journal generally includes ideas, research, essential reading summaries (which are really long and boring but learning YAY!), test prints, layout ideas,  l o t s  of text etc., etc., etc.,

somewhere near home - other

here are a selection of some of the other images i shot and got around to printing for my sense of place assignment. out of two rolls of film shot for this assignment in my chosen location, it was quite difficult to narrow my selection down to 5 final images. to make it easier for myself to create a narrative sequence, i made test prints of other pictures which i thought might also fit the narrative.
